We provide activity holidays in the Alpujarras and Sierra Nevada
of Andalucia, southern Spain. The area provides great opportunities
for all, from the high and wild mountains, in winter, to the more gentle
hills of the Alpujarras. There is something to interest everybody.
We have been operating here, from our permanent base in Lanjaron,
for over 8 years and offer a wide range of holidays. Our enthusiastic
team of professional guides live and work here,
and know the mountains and environment intimately (client
testimonials). We are the first, most established and experienced
UK and alpine guides operating year round in the Sierra Nevada. Easy access

We offer trips of any duration and any start date. Singles and groups

Trekking
The
high mountains offer great trekking opportunities. From the
5 day "Traverse Of The 3000m Peaks" (Los Tres Miles), to 1 or 2 day ascents
of Mulhacen (3481m) the highest peak in Spain, there is
something for all. We also offer 3 day, remote treks
near Alcazaba and the northen mountains of the range and
also ascents of individual peaks. NEW for 2009 is Hike and Bike, combining the best mountain biking with ascents of the major summits in multi-day trips.

Walking
The gentler terrain of the Alpujarras
offer great walking trails for all. Choose from day or multi
day tours along the GR7 or GR142 or walks around the Poqueira
Gorge or "White Villages". The Cumbres Verdes range just south of Granada also gives marvellous walking.
The Sulayr GR240
long distance path is a great 300km footpath that encircles the range.
The full walk will take approx 15 days to complete and was only inaugarated
in November 2007. We offer day and multi day hiking and walking possibilities,
where your bags are forwarded in advance. Further afield, the mountains
of the Huetor Natural Park, Almijara
and the Deserts of Tabernas offer great alternative and remote destinations.More info about walking in the Alpujarras
Mountaineering
With
guaranteed snow from December to May each winter ,this is one of the
best places to learn mountaineering skills in the high mountains.
We offer winter skills
and alpine introduction courses. In addition we provide year round holidays for those interested
in scrambling or
starting to rock climb.
Also try out the "scariest path in the world", the Camino del Rey. In the winter months we also run snowshoeing tours. More info about the mountaineering possibilities (inc scrambling)
Ski Touring & Snow Activities
If you love walking the winter hills, enjoy skiing and fancy getting
away from the crowded pistes, then ski touring may be for you? With quiet and snowsure mountains, this
is the one of the best areas of Spain to learn and practice this wonderful
